Things I’ve learned from watching action movies and thrillers

Whether you’re chasing bad guys or being chased by them, you can drive as fast as you like through crowded pedestrian precincts without hitting anyone.

If a car crashes it will explode and burn.

When you’re on the trail of a bad guy and you arrive at a place there will always be a parking space.

You can open any locked door by shooting it.

You can go anywhere in a building by crawling through the ventilation shafts.

You can jump through any window. The sashes will give way, the glass will shatter and you’ll come through without a scratch.

You can run through a hail of machine gun bullets without getting hit. A pistol will outshoot machine guns. If you do get shot it will be in the shoulder and you’ll recover with your arm in a sling.

If you are captured by the bad guys they will not immediately kill you while they have the chance. They will tie you up in a place you can escape from, but probably with a bomb, with a countdown clock.

Bad guys who get in your way in a chase will go down no matter where you hit them and they will stay down for the count. They may even disappear altogether.

You’ll end up slugging it out in a fist fight with the bad guy. You’ll take a beating but you’ll just have a cut on your cheek, not a black eye, broken nose, split lip or concussion. If you fight multiple bad guys they will obligingly take it in turns and attack you one at a time.

Female spies are invariably beautiful.

  1. I know this if off topic but I’m looking into starting my own weblog and was wondering what all is needed to get set up?
I’m assuming having a blog like yours would cost a pretty penny?
I’m not very web savvy so I’m not 100% certain. Any recommendations or advice would be greatly appreciated.

    Thank you

    1. Hi. Re your inquiry: I’m not that web savvy either. I used WordPress and Bluehost to set up the website. Quite user friendly and cheap, at least for the first year.

  2. Hi there, just became aware of your blog through Google,
and found that it’s truly informative. I’m gonna watch out for brussels.
I’ll appreciate if you continue this in future. Lots of people will be benefited from your writing.
    Cheers!
